Toffie Pop keskittyy populaarikulttuuriin, designiin, musiikkiin, aikakauslehtiin, taiteeseen ja kaikkeen, mikä liittyy jokapäiväiseen populaarikulttuuriin.

A Tale of Two Cities

Kirjailija Charles Dickensin syntymästä tuli juuri kuluneeksi 200 vuotta. Hänen romaaninsa A Tale of two Cities alkaa näin:

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.”

Sopii hyvin kuvaamaan nykyajan Etelä-Afrikkaa. Tyylikäs juliste mainostaa kaupunkisuunnittelukonferenssia, joka pidetään 10.3. täällä Kapissa.

Kustannusalan suurkonferenssi kesäkuussa 2012 Kapissa

Löysin tänään netistä tiedon, että IPA järjestää kansainvälisen kustannusalan konferenssinsa IPA Publishers Congress Kapkaupungissa 12. - 14.6.2012. Teemana on “Publishing for a New Era” eli uuden aikakauden kustantaminen.

"IPA Publishers Congresses aim to offer a platform for full and open discussion among publishers from all over the world on basic industry problems and challenges."
