Eilen koetimme osallistua Save Our Seabirds Film Festivaliin Waterfrontin "amfiteatterissa", mutta emme kuulleet ääniraidasta mitään, joten katsoimme vain yhden lyhytelokuvan, jossa oli hienot merimaisemat. Elokuvan nimi oli The Guardian ja se kertoi Afrikan pingviineistä saarella, jossa niitä suojellaan. Alla tietoa laajemmin tapahtumasta. Meren ja sen asukkien suojelu kiinnostaa minua kovasti.
National Marine Week
The purpose of National Marine Week is to create awareness of the marine and coastal environment, promote the sustainable use and conservation of these resources, for the benefit of all both present and future generations.
As custodian of the marine resources in South Africa, the Department of Environmental Affairs is the lead driver for National Marine Week.

This year, we aim to:
• Create awareness of global overfishing
• Create awareness of global pollution
• Educate the public on what they can do to help
• Inspire people to make a difference
